“It was a cold and snowy Kansas night... I ran next door to my neighbor's house, where I saw a wondrous site - a new souped-up 486 HP computer, with AOL version 1.1, from that moment on, I knew my life changed...”
Sure it sounds dramatic, but that really is how I got started in the Internet business! I bought a computer, took classes at Washburn, and then took my first risk: left a steady job that I had been at for five years, and accepted a position at a web design company locally. Of course, six months later they shut down and moved to Kansas City!
By sheer luck I was employed in Topeka media as the Webchick for many years, including newspaper, radio and TV. I don't have enough space here to go into details, but feel free to email me if you want to hear some funny stories.
Now I am sharing information about marketing, design and sales with area businesses through the New Media Cafe. If you are looking for ways to market your business give me a call, 785-383-2925.
And photos! I love taking photos! There are plenty of them on this site to look at, so enjoy! |
